VdS-FireSafety 2023: Networked solutions from GEZE optimise fire protection
GEZE, the specialist for innovative door, window and safety technology, is introducing new and proven solutions for smoke and heat extraction systems and emergency exit systems at VdS-FireSafety in Cologne. GEZE is focusing on presenting intelligent networking solutions that can better unite fire protection with accessibility and the desire to design pleasant and appealing environments. GEZE will be presenting its solutions at stand B 34 in hall 10.1 at the Koelnmesse on December 6th and 7th.
Awareness about the importance of fire protection concepts for design and operation, especially in commercial buildings, is increasing. This is reflected in the growth of FireSafety. More and more, fire protection is becoming an important part of comprehensive building control concepts. We are the right contact partner for planners and fire protection officers, thanks to our diverse, network-capable solutions.
Angela Staiber, Head of Marketing & Data Management at GEZEmyGEZE Control: automated, central monitoring for the highest safety
Networking doors and windows with myGEZE Control makes status monitoring of all windows and doors more digital - and more reliable.
The Leonberg company is presenting myGEZE Control as a next generation networking solution. The new, modular platform is able to network and control door, window and safety technology via open standards. The advantage of the new solution is that automated building processes and central monitoring make using the system more convenient and safe. This is particularly important when it comes to fire protection. The system facilitates highly efficient integration into manufacturer-neutral building management, physical security management, and CAFM systems.
Fire protection solutions for the entire building

In addition to intelligent and reliable networking, the right individual components are needed to ensure that the smoke and heat extraction system and emergency exit system can work together optimally. The TS 5000 SoftClose door closer is an elegant solution for all installation situations in challenging environments, for example in wind or suction or changing pressure ratios in interlocking door systems and staircases. In such applications, it makes it easier to close heavy doors securely yet quietly. In combination with smoke switch control unit RSZ 7, it can be used to fulfil even the highest fire protection requirements in challenging installation situations – with excellent operating comfort in normal operation.

GEZE will also be exhibiting proven fire protection solutions:
The compact MBZ 300 N8 SHEV panel is particularly suitable for small and medium size buildings as well as staircases. In the event of a fire, the smoke and heat extraction control panel unit enables the flexible control of small smoke and heat extraction systems. The MBZ 300 N8 is characterised by quick installation and simple commissioning.
The THZ N4 staircase control panel also ensures safety wherever only smoke extraction is needed under building regulation, e.g. in staircases, while also fulfilling high smoke and heat extraction system stipulations. Thanks to their small dimensions, the optimised THZ N4 and THZ Comfort N4 fit inconspicuously into narrow staircases. The integrated ventilation functions ensure optimal air circulation. The 4.5 amp output current is sufficient to operate up to 4 window drives, such as the GEZE Slimchain chain drive.
Visitors can find GEZE experts at the VdS-FireSafety on 6 and 7 December 2023 at Stand B34 in Hall 10.1.
