Light + Building 2026: Interoperable networking of doors and windows
At Light + Building 2026, GEZE will be focusing on intelligent building automation. In Hall 11, stand A01, the specialist for innovative door, window and safety technology will demonstrate how easily doors and windows can be integrated into building automation control systems thanks to interoperable networking technology. With its myGEZE Control and myGEZE Visu solutions, GEZE demonstrates how networking can contribute to making modern buildings more efficient, comfortable and, above all, more secure.
Every two years, Light + Building sets the standard for sustainable buildings. This year, we are focusing on the interoperability of our networking solution, as it is the key to holistic building automation," says Angela Staiber, Head of Marketing & Data Management at GEZE. "Particularly against the backdrop of increasing threat scenarios in critical infrastructures, the networking of doors and windows enables security, monitorability and control of the building envelope.
Protection of critical infrastructure (KRITIS) through OPC UA

Hospitals, educational institutions and critical infrastructure facilities are subject to the highest requirements in terms of availability and IT security. GEZE meets these challenges by using open yet highly secure communication standards. In addition to networking via the BACnet protocol, GEZE also supports the OPC UA protocol, which is established in the KRITIS environment, for structured, secure data exchange, right up to the building envelope. As the most secure technology currently available for industrial data exchange, OPC UA ensures that the building envelope remains controllable, traceable and audit-proof.
myGEZE Control: The modular networking solution

The heart of building automation is myGEZE Control. The modular platform enables the integration of door, window and safety technology into a wide variety of building management areas. Interoperable technology enables connection to manufacturer-neutral building automation control systems, physical security management systems and Computer-Aided Facility Management systems. This makes project planning and commissioning considerably easier for electrical engineers. This allows complex requirements for fire protection or emergency exit security to be implemented optimally.

Angela Staiber, Head of Marketing & Data Management at GEZEmyGEZE Visu: Clear hazard and building management
The compact myGEZE Visu visualisation system provides a clear overview of building operations and enables rapid intervention from anywhere. © GEZE GmbH
In addition, GEZE offers myGEZE Visu, a compact visualisation system as an alternative to integrating doors and windows into a higher-level building management system. The software provides a clear overview of all relevant information relating to building operations and enables rapid intervention from anywhere – whether at a stationary control station or via a mobile device. Particularly efficient for operation: the configurations from myGEZE Control can be imported directly into myGEZE Visu without any further adjustments. Events are clearly visualised and can be tracked continuously from the collective display to the detailed message, which speeds up fault diagnosis and ensures process security.
Visitors can find GEZE experts at Light + Building from 8 to 13 March 2026 in Hall 11 at stand A03.
